Goal:
Our goal is to reach out to others and to pray for approximately 80 Church supported Missionaries. To extend "Christ like" love to our shut-ins, college students and Missionaries.

August 12, 2003 - Sign up for items in Missionary Bags
September 9, 2003 - Prepare bags for Missionaries who are attending Missions Conference
October 14, 2003 - Plan for Thanksgiving fellowship
November 11, 2003 - Thanksgiving fellowship and Sign up for Christmas Cans for the Shut-Ins
December 9, 2003 - Prepare and deliver Christmas Cans to Shut-Ins
January 13, 2004 - Sign up for Valentine Boxes for the College students
February 10, 2004 - Prepare and mail boxes to College Students and discuss Crisis Pregnancy Project
March 9, 2004 - Promote Crisis Pregnancy Project and bring items
April 13, 2004 - Separate and prepare boxes for delivery to Crisis Pregnancy Centers
May 11, 2004 - End of year fellowship and/or assist with Mother/Daughter banquet

1.) Provide travel bags to visiting missionaries and families that come to our church furlough or deputation. These are just small travel toiletries - such as shampoo, lotions, toothpaste, breath mints, Q-tips, cotton balls, Band-Aids, etc.
|

|
2.) Missionary Highlight - One missionary is chosen each month, a letter is read, and information about their ministry is provided, prayer requests and needs are made known.
|
|
|
3.) Prayer reminders are given to everyone with the name of a missionary and the country/or area of service.
|
|
|
4.) Prayer partner pen exchange. We exchange writing pens as a prayer reminder once a year.
|
|
|
5.) Homemade snack cans are prepared and distributed to widows, widowers and shut-ins at Christmas.
|
|
|
6.) Fudge and candy boxes are prepared and mailed to the college students in February.
|
|
|
7.) Collect items for both Canyon and Amarillo Crisis Pregnancy Centers - Gently used baby and maternity items, baby formula, food, and diapers. Toiletries for the new mothers.
|
|
|
8.) Prepare homemade lotion, soup in a jar and cookies in a jar for the Shut-ins, and Missionary sacks.
|
|
|
9.) Mail birthday cards to college students.
|
|
|
10.) Monthly appreciation/recognition of "Christ's Examples" in the church.
|
