Things
you never, ever do in marriage….if you are guilty of any of these, stop it,
you
are not going to have the marriage you desire.
1. Never
raise your voice, cats hiss, dogs bark, it is a crude form of dominance by the
ignorant.
2. Never
put your hands on your mate; don’t need a shaking or a pinch or an arm twisted
or restrained physically or slapped, male or female.
3. No name calling; fool, idiot or worse,
it will alienate.
4. Never turn your back and walk out or
leave, Jr. High school.
5. Don’t freeze them out with silence.
6. Don’t keep score and remember past
offences.
7. Don’t
reason and excuse or try to explain our offense and injury or downplay
another's expressed pain.
8. Don’t turn things around and justify
your offence and injustice.
9. Don’t
interrupt … Prov 18:13 “He that
answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.”
10. Don’t use the children to settle a
dispute.
11. Don’t argue in front of the children.
12. Don’t use humor to cover up truth…sarcasm.
13. Don’t talk outside, don’t run down your
mate to others.
14. Don’t use sex or the lack of as a punishment … “Enjoy your
victory Mr. but this place is about to be a monastery.”
15. Don’t fail to listen with body language,
lack of eye contact.
16. Don’t harden yourself against your mate… “I won’t change…I
will never again be affectionate.”
