"But your iniquities have separated between you and your God". (Isaiah 59:2a)
"The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works" (Psalm 145:17). God is unable to tolerate sin because of His holiness--He is completely without any wrong. Sin is totally foreign and alien to God.

Many people in this day and age think of sin as some type of crime. But there is a difference--that which is a crime against society, is a sin (offence) against God. The Bible tells us in James 2:10, "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." Even if you are a very moral person, the Bible says, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one...For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:10, 23).

What makes all of us sinners? Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" (Romans 5:12).
But I've always kept the commandments, isn't that enough? "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags..." (Isaiah 64:6a).
What is always the end result of sin? "For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23a).

Some would say, But I go to my priest to confess my sins. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).
"Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels". (Matthew 25:41)

The Bible tells us that hell will be a terrible place, filled with insufferable anguish beyond human comprehension. Jesus told his disciples in Matthew 13:41-42, "The Son of man (Jesus) shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity (sin); And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."
What happens to an unsaved person after death? "Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the Lord shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them" (Psalm 21:9).
"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life".(John 8:12)
The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin". (1 John 1:7)
In the Old Testament a lamb without spot or blemish was used as a sacrifice to pay for sin. It was the BLOOD of the lamb that cleansed a person from sin. When John the Baptist first saw Jesus Christ he proclaimed, "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world" (John 1:29b). Jesus Christ was the final and ultimate sacrifice to pay for all eternity.
What cleanses us from all sin? "The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin" (1 John 1:7).
Is there any other payment for sin? "And without shedding of blood is no remission" (Hebrews 9:22).
Will being a good person pay for sin? "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8,9).
Why did Jesus give his life for you? "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved" (John 3:17).
Is Jesus the only way to salvation? "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).
